What Is a Bioclimatic Pergola?
A bioclimatic pergola is a louvered aluminum pergola whose adjustable roof manages sun, shade, and ventilation to control the microclimate beneath it.
A bioclimatic pergola uses motorized aluminum louvers, and often side screens and integrated lighting, to actively manage temperature, light, and airflow. Angling the louvers vents hot air and admits breeze in summer or traps warmth in cooler weather. It is the high-end form of a louvered pergola.
JHL Pergolas builds these across Chester County and the Main Line.
