What Is a Louvered Roof?
A louvered roof is a pergola roof of rotating slats that open for sun and close for full rain protection.
A louvered roof replaces fixed rafters with adjustable aluminum slats (louvers) that pivot from open to fully closed. Closed, the slats shed rain into integrated gutters; open, they admit sun and air. Motorized versions add rain sensors and smart-home control. A louvered roof turns an open pergola into a near year-round outdoor room.
JHL Pergolas builds these across Chester County and the Main Line.
